Dear Sir: Enclosed find Inquest Papers. This is a case who died very suddenly at Capt. J.M. Lyles place - colored. From the Evidences, she was well as usual in the morning and went through with her routine of work in the house, and fell dead in the floor at 8 oclock of the same morning. She had a daughter about 14 years of age present at her death besides smaller children. Husband and larger children were in the field at work, and it was her intention to assist them when she finsihed up her domestic business. I never heard of such a short death, dont think she could have expired quicker if she had been shot through the brain - judging from the evidence of this daughter. Yours, Jno. D. Blair
