William R. Reasonover having been sworn testified that he is a brother of deceased, started with deceased this morning to go to Mr. Boykin's plantation to get fodder. wtiness was driving the wagon and his brother was riding on horseback. his brother rode on out of sight ahead of witness, the horse having thrown him and started back, he hallooed to his brother (the witness) to catch him. deceased came up and witness having got out of the wagon, the two drove the horse between the wagon and the fence. witness went up on one side and deceased on the other and the latter caught him by the bridle. the horse then started to run and when he go straight before deceased he kicked him. deceased let the horse [?] when he received the kick and walked off about four or five steps. He then began to stagger like he was going to fall and did fall, and just as he hit the ground witness caught him. He laid[?] with his head in witness lap about a minute and a half and then died. The kick given him by the horse was a severe one, thinks he could have heard it fifty yards. The kick was given on the breast or stomach of deceased. Deceased did not appear to be conscious after witness reached him.
